Screencrafter is a 100% open-source browser extension. We believe in total transparency and privacy. Our philosophy is simple: your data belongs to you, and we don't want it.

Zero Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information, browsing history, or captured screenshots. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no hidden data harvesting.

100% Local Storage

Every screenshot you take, every label you add, and every preference you set is stored exclusively on your local machine. We use the browser's local storage API, which means your data never leaves your computer.

Open Source

Because Screencrafter is open source, anyone can inspect our code to verify exactly how we handle data. You can find our full source code on GitHub.

Permissions

The permissions requested by the extension are used solely for the purpose of capturing and saving screenshots as requested by you:

• activeTab: To capture the current viewport.
• tabs: To label captures with the page title.
• storage: To save captures locally in your browser.
• downloads: To save screenshots to your computer.
• scripting: To enable full-page and area selection.
